No longer does the cord drag over the shirt to be ironed! Iron heats rapidly, has high heat and steam that removes wrinkles, stainless steel sole plate glides over fabric, water tank large and easily filled and the retractable cord plus plastic removable outside cover simplifies storage. Replacing iron on charging stand is natural movement. Iron slightly heavier than cord iron because of added metal to retain heat.

I'd forgotten how much fun ironing can be, until I used this iron! I love the cordless feature, the detachable water tank, and above all, how well it steams and the ease with which wrinkles disappear. Excellent investment!

I was very hopeful this would be a good purchase. It is definitely convenient being cordless but it just doesn't get hot enough. To get maximum heat, you just have to put it back on it's base and wait. Maybe I rearrange the garment too fast in between, maybe it just takes too long to get hot enough, maybe it just doesn't get hot enough, ever.
Still keeping it. Returning and paying shipping just doesn't seem practical at this price range.

This is my second cordless Panasonic iron. Mom took my first one after ten years it still worked like new, so I had to replace it. I will never iron with a cord again! It glides easy, gets hot fast has all the steam I want, sits in its own holder, that I can put on the table or chair next to my ironing board. It's just the best one! It's the ONLY one as far as I'm concerned. I did try to get mom a cheaper one, but it arked, sparked and leaked water. That's how she got mine, so I had to order another Panasonic. Shouldn't have went cheap. You get what you pay for and here, you get a great iron!
